Description

An excellent antique Heriz with great colour and in near perfect condition. The soft pale blue and light greens make a lighter carpet combined with the warm red and blue tones. Fantastic durable piece for anywhere in the home.

Antique Heriz carpets were hand-woven by Azerbaijan Turkish inhabitants close to the city of Heriz in North-West Persia. They are famous among collectors and interior designers because of their vivid vegetable dyes or soft earth tones that are woven on a geometric pattern.

. . .

They produced some beautiful carpets, rugs and runners during the late 19th Century until the early 20th Century, they are know as the ‘Iron rugs of Persia” as they are made with very tough wool and wear very well.

We offer the service of viewing any of our carpets & rugs in-situ in London, Surrey, Hampshire the UK & Europe by appointment. Please contact us using the enquire form below.
