A fine soft wool pile on this pale antique Sarouk rug, circa 1910-1915 and not an American Sarouk washed rug which were dyed deep raspberry red for the American market in the early 20th century.  A great decorative rug with some old areas of restoration.  Available to purchase online or request to view this in our Surrey showroom or in your own home.

The finest of the modern Sarouk rugs comes from the small town of Ghiassabad. These town rugs and carpets were commissioned for the western market around the beginning of the 20th Century and always had scrolling vines and floral motifs woven in soft colours.

We offer the service of viewing any of our carpets & rugs in-situ, please request a home visit to choose an ideal day and time, a service we have provided throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe for the last 30 years.
