Condition wise, the carpet is in superb original condition with only a few small old repairs. It has been professionally cleaned by ourselves and the ends/fringes secured, but that is simply all that needed doing, so it’s ready to be used and enjoyed.
Woven in the late 19th century this Tabriz and generally any woven around 1880-1910 have always been sought after classical Persian carpets. Their timeless design and subtle palettes from this period have always made them desirable floor coverings. Although exceptional antique pieces like this are expensive they have retained their value over the last 50 years and we only see prices for original pieces such as this increasing in value due to their rarity.
We offer the service of viewing any of our carpets and rugs in-situ in London, Surrey, Hampshire, Scotland or anywhere else as we love to travel all over the UK helping customers and interior designers find the ideal carpet for their home or scheme. Please request a home visit to view this rare small Tabriz in-situ.
