A fabulous oversize antique Aubusson in remarkable original condition. The size of this Aubusson is almost square at 5.40 x 5.20m it would have been woven for a specific space at first manufacture. The look of the piece is fabulous…with very solid beautiful colours and a wonderful open design, this antique Aubusson has refined elegance. The main border entwines with the second inner circle surrounding the central floral design. The condition is very good indeed for its age, with minimal wear and it is the original size with no major repairs or reweaving. Often these have been reduced in size as they were made on a grand scale.
