Sultanabad carpet

Contemporary

Description

A beautiful faded contemporary Sultanabad carpet, using the best natural dyes, these are hand-woven with durable hand-spun wool and soft colours to create an antique looking carpet.  The natural dyes are faded and gentle, with sage green tones, dusky pinks, light blues, and hints of warmer reds in the small flowers in the border.  This carpet could be mistaken for being an antique Ziegler carpet over 100 years old, as it has been beautifully hand-crafted by the best weavers.

Using famous designs from antique Ziegler carpets, with large scale palmettes and flowing vines, they could be mistaken for antique carpets, as the colour palette and weave is executed so incredibly well.

These are one of the best productions of contemporary carpets on the market currently, using traditional designs with an open feel, they are even better to view up close and in your home. The pile height is not too high on these Sultanabad carpets, it has been cut medium high, which helps make them look more like a faded antique carpet.  Please view all the additional images to see the colours up close.

Please request a home visit to arrange a time for us to show you this beautiful large Sultanabad carpet in your own home.  We have travelled all over the UK helping interior designers and private customers since 1990.  Our free, no obligation, professional home visit service allows you to view our carpets in your own home to make the right choice.

If you would like to view this carpet at our barn showroom please let us know a preferred day and time you can visit, then we shall make sure the carpet is here ready for you to view.  Thank you.

We think this new limited collection of beautiful hand-woven modern Sultanabad carpets are one of the best currently being produced, with the variety of dyes, the weave and the height of the pile has been cut making them look like subtle faded antique carpets.
