Description

A beautiful Persian Bidjar runner with a wonderful repeating field with a dark,  almost black border design.  The Garous field design is of great scale,  and the weaving is also of very high quality. These classical antique runners are known for their strength and durability, mainly due to the tough wool they used and the sturdy construction.  The Mina-khani floral pattern all over is in our opinion the most attractive pattern used on these runners.  Woven with stunning natural dyes, from the late 19th century.

We offer the service of viewing any of our carpets & rugs in-situ in London, Surrey, Hampshire the and all over the UK by appointment.

This runner is a very classical repeating Bidjar design,  having repeating elongated medallions running its length.  Each one being perfectly drawn and executed.  A very fine extremely long Bidjar runner with vivid blues and reds. Bidjars are highly regarded for their designs, durability and vibrant colours. These runners use high quality vegetable dyes and fine hand spun wool.
