Ushaks were woven in Western Anatolia which was one of the largest rug production areas since the Ottoman Empire. Their designs tend to be more open than Persian rugs and soft dyes are not uncommon. Often younger Ushaks or Oushaks will be rich red in colour and use bolder geometric designs.
We have a large collection of beautiful antique Kilim cushions and antique carpet cushions, all hand-made using antique pieces of kilim and carpet. Filled with feather inserts and backed with either corduroy or linen, they have been expertly made. Great old natural antique colours and beautifully hand-stitched and filled with a feather cushion insert. All of our antique cushions have been hand-stitched using the best materials and inserts.
