An antique Baluch cushion, we have been using antique rug fragments to make these beautiful bespoke cushions.  Slightly distressed fragments of antique rugs make great cushions, with lovely natural antique colours and a corduroy back to compliment the texture of the rug.  These are beautifully hand-stitched and filled with a feather cushion insert, this cushion is one of a pair of Baluch cushions, please see all the images to see the 2nd cushion.

These tribal pieces from Baluch are popular with collectors and rug enthusiasts, woven by tribes people in eastern Persia and western Afghanistan.  Generally woven with a loose weave and using wool foundation their wool has a great softness.  The Baloch or Baluch are tribal people who live mainly in the Balochistan region of the southeastern-most edge of the Iranian plateau in Persia, and Afghanistan, as well as in the Arabian Peninsula.
