Rare ivory off white background on this wonderful all over leaf design antique Heriz carpet. Woven around circa 1900-1910 the natural dyes are quite beautiful, with subtle pale blues, greens and gold tones. The all over large leaf design is rare to find, we come across only a few of this design that are from best period of weaving between 1890-1910. In lovely original condition, with a good wool pile all over and no repairs or damage to speak of.

Heriz carpets have always been regarded as beautiful, tough objects of decoration, made in the north-west of Persia these handwoven works of art always have variations from one piece to another.
