Description
A fabulous antique Heriz runner in very good condition and very long! This runner is wonderful in it’s simplicity – the pallette is quite simple, with just terracotta, two blues a green and a yellow. Simple colour schemes like this are very easy to live with and create a very subtle look in situ. The design of this Heriz runner is also very simple, with a repeating medallion, linked together with the pale blue vine. The condition is excellent, with very lush pile throughout and complete ends and selvedges.
Heriz is not far from the Azerbaijan Border so they draw influences from many Caucasian rugs and runners. They are easily recognisable with repeating medallions similar to those in caucasian rugs. A very solid and useable Heriz runner, perfect for a busy hallway to add charm and colour.
