Beautiful and richly coloured Antique Farahan carpet cushion, one of eight we have available. You can view them all together and see what we have currently in stock by clicking – here.
These cushions have been hand-made from an antique Farahan carpet which was beyond restoration. It is wonderful to be able to produce these hand-crated cushions using remnants of antique carpets. Farahan or Fereghan as it is often called, is an area in Western Persia, which produced varying designs. These cushions have the famous ‘Herati’ design, which shows two leaves around a flower. As this carpet was around 120 years old, there is some visible wear on the cushions, adding wonderful character to each one.
These cushions have a dark blue corduroy backing and are filled with feather inserts, there is also a zip to remove the insert if needed. We have 8 of these cushions in total produced from the same carpet, please view all the extra images to see them all together.
