Description

Woven in the early 20th Century this lovely antique Heriz carpet has a great medallion design with beautiful ivory corner spandrels in the main field.  These are the four corners in the main field of the carpet, along with nice green dyes.  The background colour of warm reds, works extremely well with the deep blue border colour too.  This small size antique carpet is a difficult size to find in good condition, as weavers tended to produce larger sizes.

Some draw influences from further north into the Caucasus and vivid colours like this particular carpet.  A decorative yet practical carpet which has been used for over 100 years and stood the test of time.
