Description
A rare and stunning Antique Kuba Kelleh in fantastic original condition, this Kelleh is finely woven using beautiful natural dyes. In the border there is a lovely abrash, turning from blue to a lovely green. Also there are large stylised birds woven in each of the corners along with smaller birds throughout. Kuba is a rug producing town located in the north-east of the Caucaus’s next to the Caspian Sea. The port of Baku in Kuba had its own school for carpet-making.

An amazing Caucasian rug with great design history and a fantastic array of colours, the madder is vibrant and the ivory white gives rug a lot of life. A real collectors piece in lovely condition.
