235 × 137 cm 7’8” x 4’5”

Description

A distressed antique Kuba rug with an all over design comprising of large geometric motifs, using soft yellows, terracotta and brown dyes. The structure is good, the fringes and sides secure, the main body of the rug is heavily distressed and low in places.  We supply sturdy underlay with all are rugs, this would stop this rug from moving on the floor adding body too.  Allowing it to remain distressed but beautiful on the floor.

Kuba is a rug producing town located in the north-east of the Caucaus next to the Caspian Sea. The port of Baku in Kuba had its own school for carpet-making. An ancient Caucasian rug with great design history and a fantastic array of colours, the pale indigo dyes are lovely and the ivory white border gives this rug a lot of life.

We offer the service of viewing any of our carpets & rugs in-situ in London, Surrey, Hampshire & the UK by appointment. Please contact us to arrange an appointment to see this Kuba rug at home or to visit our barn showroom in Surrey.  We would love to welcome you here and show you this antique rug and many more.
