This Bakshaish carpet is in wonderful pile all over with great natural dyes typical of the carpets from this region woven at the end of the 19th Century. A truly stunning carpet that has a lot of charm and with no central medallion it is very easy to decorate around and place in a drawing room.

Bakshaish is a region very near to Heriz in the north-west of Persia, they tended to be softer in colour and have a geometric design of leaves and birds.They are famous among collectors because of their vivid vegetable dyes or soft earth tones that are woven on a geometric pattern.
