Description
A very pretty contemporary Sultanabad rug, with a soft blue/grey background with soft tone of pinks, golds and reds with some green dyes too. All hand-woven with pale natural dyes and hand-spun wool. The wonderful small floral palmettes and vine designs we see on this modern rug are from the famous workshop carpets from Sultanabad, and specifically the Ziegler & Co from the late 19th century. We have two very similar in this size and coloration, look at reference 11966.
