A wonderful contemporary Sultanabad carpet using the best natural dyes, these are hand-woven using the very best hand-spun wool and softest of natural colours. The dyes are faded and gentle, with sage green tones, dusky pinks, light blues, and hints of warmer cinnamon tones. With an off-white background, using varying shades of grey and biscuit tones, this adds depth to the palette as it is not one flat colour.
The design is taken from antique Ziegler carpets, with large scale palmettes and flowing vines, these contemporary carpets could be mistaken for antique carpets, as the colour palette and weave is executed so incredibly well. The pile height is not too high on these Sultanabad carpets, having been cut at a medium height, which helps make them look more like an antique carpet.
