This contemporary Sultanabad carpet has been woven with such stunning and fun colours! We love the pale blue background and deeper indigo blue border, the golds and reds with greens and pinks for the abstract floral design. This is a joyful and beautiful carpet, which would add a lot of interest to a room. Woven using the best natural dyes, these are hand produced with soft hand-spun wool and muted colours, making sure each one is made with the right colours and weave. A carpet of this size takes around 9-12 months to produce, the quality of this production is truly fantastic.
The design is taken from antique Ziegler carpets, with large scale palmettes and flowing vines, these contemporary carpets could be mistaken for antique carpets, as the colour palette and weave is executed so incredibly well. The pile height is not too high on these Sultanabad carpets, having been cut at a medium height, which helps make them look more like an antique carpet.
