Description

This oversize contemporary Sultanabad carpet is like a breath of fresh air! The faded palette and beautiful symmetry of design showcases these amazing modern day weavers talents.  The large scale border is a real triumph too, wide and full of glorious colours.

The very best natural dyes have been used to weave a contemporary carpet that could be mistaken for an antique carpet.  The hand-spun wool and natural colours are muted and expertly produced from the best weaving workshops.  A large all over floral pattern, using beautiful antique designs from the famous Ziegler & Co workshop carpets woven in the late 19th century in Persia.

Faded green tones, terracottas, pinks, ivory tones and lots of varying blues and greys, on a soft off white background, all these beautiful colours help create a decorative contemporary carpet in an almost square size, which is hard to find even in contemporary carpets.  As the majority are woven in more rectangular sizes.

The name Ziegler and Sultanabad have long been names associated with the most decorative and desirable carpets.  A natural off-white background combined with pale blues, hints of red, pinks, golden tone and teal blues create a stunning oversize contemporary carpet.

Please request a home visit to arrange a time for us to show you this wonderful Sultanabad carpet in your own home.  We love to travel all over the UK helping interior designers and private customers.

We think this new limited collection of beautiful hand-woven modern Sultanabad carpets are one of the best currently being produced, with the variety of dyes, the weave and the height of the pile has been cut making them look like subtle faded antique carpets.  We always have lots of these in stock as we love them and think they help create beautiful rooms, search for Sultanabad in the contemporary section of our website to view them all.
