This contemporary Sultanabad carpet is really beautiful, based on an antique pattern from Sultanabad and famous carpets known as Ziegler. A traditional design with a contemporary feel, due to the light natural dyes used. Woven with the most amazing faded combination of subtle pale blue dyes for the border, and an off-white to light grey toned main field. The soft pinks, sage greens, teal blues, faded terracotta and muted golds used for the abstract floral design are a delight. So easy to place in any room, whether it be a drawing room, study, hall or bedroom, this production look right at home.
Hand-woven taking around a year to weave, this is one of the best productions of contemporary carpets on the market currently, using traditional designs with an open feel, they are even better to view up close and in your home. The pile height is not too high on these Sultanabad carpets, it has been cut medium high, which helps make them look more like a faded antique carpet.
